Plan the weeks that lead to your half marathon
The useful question is not only how long the next long run should be. It is how that run fits beside the rest of your training, your available days and the time left before the race.
How the half marathon template starts
Running Browser starts with a twelve-week half-marathon template. Your race date and current volume shape the block. You can choose your training days, preferred long-run day and workout days before adding it to your planner.
What the training weeks contain
The build combines easy running, long runs and purposeful sessions. Race-specific work appears as the block develops, while training paces stay tied to current fitness. The final two weeks form the template’s taper.
Long runs start from your recent training where history is available. They grow within the model’s volume and duration limits rather than jumping immediately to an arbitrary distance. Recovery weeks give the block some variation.
Before you add the plan
Review the first week carefully. If you are adding the plan partway through a week, completed days stay in the past; the remaining days should not become an excuse to squeeze in all the missed work.
Choose the days you can repeat consistently and use your current fitness for training paces. Templates are editable: move or change sessions when the plan no longer fits what you can do.
- Enter current weekly distance and recent fitness honestly.
- Choose the race date, training days and preferred long-run day.
- Check the proposed weeks before adding them to your calendar.

A template provides a starting structure, not a guaranteed finish time. Review planned and completed work as the weeks pass and adapt the schedule when your circumstances change.
